Best used laptop in December

In today’s post, I’ll write about what worked well in December — which used laptops made it to the top and my thoughts on the matter.

December was a very strong month. I compared it to Decembers of previous years, and this December was a record for the last six years. Unfortunately, it still fell a little short, and this year’s overall record went to another month — I’ll write more about that when I put together the full year’s summary. I think many will want to read what and in what quantities was sold in 2025.

Coming back to December — the winner wasn’t a big surprise for me. This model has simply received more attention, and its price has been very good. It was available in A-, B-, and C-classes. While C-class is usually a bit harder to sell, with this model, the C-class sold out first — the price was absolutely incredibly affordable.

Second place, however, was quite a surprise for me. I wouldn’t have expected HP to start ‘dominating’ the TOP like that.

I’ll reveal the rankings shortly, but first, I’ll briefly write about what I think will happen in January.

I don’t foresee a big change, but I’ll probably have to boost the Lenovo selection a bit this month, as it no longer seems very realistic for HP to stay so far ahead. Of course, I have nothing against it — I also use an HP business-class laptop and am very satisfied. Perhaps that’s why they are chosen more often, because only HP laptops tick away as work machines in our office too.

🥇 1st place – HP Probook 445 G8 (55 units)

As I already mentioned in the introduction — it’s probably a very good machine indeed, because prices for the C-class started from 140 euros, and the most affordable option flew off the shelves particularly quickly.

There are still a reasonable number of them left in stock — so if you want to make as good a choice as many others, you still have time.

🥈 2nd place – HP ProBook 650 G5 (27 units)

I didn’t foresee the success of this model, and when I started writing, I was quite surprised, oh wow — such a machine has broken into the TOP. Awesome!

Looking back, I actually should have seen it — I packed these computers for a school, and a decent batch came through. I hope they help many students do their schoolwork efficiently.

If you also want a decent 15″ business-class used laptop, you need to act pretty quickly — this model will probably be out of stock in a couple of weeks. And it won’t rise to the TOP again, because the quantity in stock is simply too small.

🥉 3rd place – Lenovo ThinkPad T14 Gen 1 (24 units)

Fortunately, a legendary Lenovo is also represented in the TOP. It’s good to see that Lenovo is still in the picture — although it’s a bit strange that it fell so far behind HP.

I guess I need to let the warehouse know that Lenovo prices seem a bit steep — HP machines are clearly preferred more. My message might not change much, but it doesn’t hurt to ask — if I can get even a little extra discount, it’s a clear win for the buyer.
